Turkey Pastrami Reuben
The New York deli classic, built properly. Hot turkey pastrami, melted Swiss, sauerkraut, and a sharp Russian dressing on toasted rye.

Ingredients
- —300g Symi's Turkey Pastrami, heated and sliced
- —4 slices dark rye bread
- —4 slices Swiss cheese
- —120g sauerkraut, drained well
- —3 tbsp mayonnaise
- —1 tbsp ketchup
- —1 tsp horseradish sauce
- —1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- —Butter for the pan
Method
- 1.
Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish and Worcestershire sauce to make the Russian dressing.
- 2.
Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
- 3.
Spread the Russian dressing on the unbuttered sides. Layer with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, and well-drained sauerkraut.
- 4.
Close the sandwiches, buttered side out.
- 5.
Cook in a medium-heat pan, pressing gently, for 3 to 4 minutes each side until deep golden and the cheese is fully melted.
- 6.
Rest for 1 minute before cutting. Serve with cornichons.
